A world-leading green energy project in Ukraine to rebuild a clean energy future.
Welcome to GreenWest PtX
Advancing Green Hydrogen Production in Ukraine
Strategically located in Western Ukraine near the Polish border, GreenWest PtX capitalizes on Ukraine’s robust renewable resources to support the supply of 100% green hydrogen and its derivatives to the Ukrainian and European market. Our advantageous geographic positioning facilitates streamlined and cost-efficient distribution across key European demand centers.
-
Project Scope and Objectives
The project commences with a substantial setup, comprising 120 MW of renewable power sources paired with a 50 MW electrolyser, aiming to produce an annual output of ~5,000 tonnes of hydrogen. As demand escalates, our facilities are planned to expand to 1 GW power production, with 500 MW electrolyser capacity and thus bringing total production to ~50,000 tons of H2 annually.
-
Financial Overview and Strategic Goals
An initial phase investment of €325 million underscores our commitment to Ukrainian and European Energy independence and aligns with broader efforts to integrate Ukraine’s energy infrastructure into the EU framework. GreenWest PtX is supported by an alliance of seasoned players from Ukraine and Europe, renowned for their expertise in renewable energy and hydrogen technologies.
-
Collaboration Opportunities
As we progress towards a Financial Investment Decision by early 2027 and anticipate operational launch in 2029, we are actively engaging with potential partners to propel this pivotal project forward.
Explore the potential with GreenWest PtX and how we are setting benchmarks in sustainable energy within Europe.
